Sounds awesome and looks great as usual, Rob! See you at the track for its first couple of passes. Looking forward to seeing the Somerset consistently back on the track. Heck, that "new" paint job hasn't seen the light of day very much over the last couple of years. That should change this year so leave the weekends open for racing!
How about ending the day by going to the semi-finals, only to breakout by running a 8.93@150mph on an 8.95 dial-in! I'll let Rob fill in the details but a great day of racing all around.
I see Rob hasn't lost his cutting edge after sitting on the sidelines for a year! Way to go Rob. Now if Scotty could finish Cellguy's motor he could start on Jr's.
ok.....this is what I have. After a rough 1st two outings we are on the right track. 1st the build up: 540 cid Crower forged crank 4 1/4" stroke 2.0" rod journals 3" mains Eagle steel rods Diamond pistons final CR 14.53:1 Stock Buick cam tunnel w/ solid flat tappet cam Stage 1 TE heads T/A 1.65 rockers nothing fancy or exotic just a solid combo. Now the performance: Yesterday were the first full passes with all 3 gears in the trans 8.98, 8.99, 8.97, 8.93 I made a total of 6 passes 2 of which I had to dump to get the win light but were in the 8.90 range I have to remind you, this motor was not on a dyno, so now the tuning will begin. The only thing that is still odd is the oil pressure. I will touch on that in the thread that Slimfromnz started later. Thanks to my wife, my dad, Paul (aka buickwagon), Scotty's Racing, Bobb Makley and all the buick community for the support. Now let's go racing and have some fun!!!

Nice Job brother! Congrats on the numbers. I'm guessing from now on every time you go racing your going to be changing your signature!
The guy in the Mustang got spanked :3gears: Very Cool Rob. :TU: Which Solid Cam spec are you using? Motor is very healthy. Love the videos.
