I'll wait a lil longer and see how things progress with ken betts billet heads and/or the TA heads If i'm let down i'll just buy the rover heads, billet hybrid cam and search for modular rover intake..or go custom intake again
Sorry I did not make the list but I did equip mine with the Edelbrock Perform RPM Heads and matching intake on my 70 GS 455!
I know there is a list, but I would like to see some current feed back. We are possibly looking to start moving forward with the aluminum head and or single plane intake. Was just wondering which part you folks would be more interested in first. We need to sell which ever one is produced. So, out of the two which one would you folks most likely purchase at completion. Maybe someone could start a poll. Need the info before the last week of the year. Thank you all

That is actually an intake for a sbb 300,so he didn't actually move away from a sbb engine platform. Derek
Heads please! Anyone aware if TA's current roller rockers will fit new aluminum heads? I think this was asked, just didn't see a definite answer
Of course they will it has taken 10 years to get them. It will all work just like the 455 heads. Nothing will change there are too many with roller rockers out there.
Hopefully not, they'll be able to build better cylinder heads if they move the valves closer to the centerline of the cylinder so they can spread them out slightly for bigger valves with minimal shrouding. Unfortunately if they do the above the factory or the TA roller rockers probably would no longer work? Perhaps if they change the angle of the valves, they can angle them closer to the centerline so the valves tips end up close to where the factory position is. If the valves are spread opened .030" each should give them enough space for 2.02" in. and 1.60" ex. valves. But spreading them bring them out of the range of the rocker tip? If the sbb push rod to valve offset is the same as the BBB heads then from the factory that would be .080". Now if the valves are spread apart .030" that would give them a .110" offset, which may be to much for the rocker tips to compensate for? If so then new rockers would be needed? Could be a necessary evil to be able to have a better cylinder head, which I would be all for.
When I was out in AZ last week, and stopped in at T/A, pretty sure Mike was intending on changing the valve angles to accommodate the larger valve dia's. on the new castings. Nice clean shop, Mike, Sherry and Tim were all very nice. He said he would post more on the 350 heads soon. These pics are the 1st castings.
If those roller rockers do not work and you have to get a new shaft set you may be putting out 3500.00 to put these heads on. If more porting comes into play that could be another what 5-800$ You have a Buick it is going to cost more but the results are very good. Maybe it would help to make the intake ports higher to get more velocity out of the system Bigger may not work with this system. Those big valves may do more blocking than helping in that small bore. I just can't see them changing the system so much to scrap the roller rockers on the shelf and the ones that are already in the cars with 350's. I can see slightly modifying existing sets but that is about it.
Yup, hopefully the valve angle change will be just the right RX. I've got a set of T/A's & T&D's. Be nice if I can still use them.
You can't drop 100lbs with aluminum heads and intake like you can with the BBB, but it's still significant. Probably closer to something in the 50-70 lb range. Jim
