Me either! LOL I had to basically take off 3 months so I could prep my house to sell, move, and build up my shop. When I started this project, I had anticipated selling the house this coming Spring, but the market was HOT and I didn't want to miss the bubble. Thankfully, I have a very understanding customer.
Somewhat. I have an attached garage to the house which I have the Skylark and her car parked. My Tahoe still gets an outside spot. This space is a detached building that is right next to the house. It is slightly wider than a standard 2 car garage and about 35' deep. Not as big as I originally was looking for, but there is a ton of room behind the house/building for completely new structure. I am comfortable working in this space, at least for now. I currently have 2 other paint jobs lined up after this one, and one other complete restoration. So I'm tentatively booked for the next 2+ years!
Can't wait to see the finished product; I'm glad you chose the blue, I'm a little partial to it. What colour is the interior?
Interior is black. I tried to have the owner go with a white top but he like the black. It will look awesome regardless of which color it is. Clear coat is going on this morning after I work up the courage to walk through the negative temps to the shop I shot the color late last night...I really love the color. I couldn't get a photo due to the vapor cloud, but once I finish the clear, I will post a couple pics.
Clear is on! Will have to wait until it dries to open the garage and get a few pics. So far it looks killer. Bass boat flakes were on the menu but my paint tips were too small, so we had to scrap the idea
1000 grit is done and I'm halfway done with 2000. I ran the buffer over the side I have completed with 2000 and it is really coming out nice. I can't wait to get this in the sun. The photos don't do it justice.
First round of buffing almost done...I will have probably 12 hours in the first round. It will go quickly for the last two rounds.
I would have preferred the white top, but black looks good, too. I started hanging some trim today...
Absolutely stunning...love that colour! Great job in getting those acres of fender straight! The owner should be very happy with the end result.
