Darren! Hope you make it. We'll be back with Joe Eastwoods green '70. We lost a valve back in 2018 in the semi. It's got TA SE's on it now.
It certainly will make it easier if everyone parks in the circle track area,...it makes the most sense ther is plenty of room,.. Regarding payouts: I'm reaching out to the normal sponsors now and will have a close total soon,..rest assured it will be on par with past years. My apologies for slipping on this but in all honesty with the BS that we all have endured this past year and some unpleasant personal struggles im just happy to get the event on the calendar and a go,... We will regroup at the event and clarify any concerns or ideas,...ive lost alot of my automotive drive past year BUT,...im hoping I turn the corner and get my focus back,..the Nationals has always been a great way to find and build motivation
2021 GSR Sponsors GAMBLE MACHINE: Cody Gamble is our main Sponsor with a $1200 prize to the winner and $200 to the runner up SPARTAN PAINT AND PERFORMANCE: Ethan Mathis $500 to the winner TRUCK WORKS: Pete Van Thiensville $500 to the winner Bruce Kent: $100 SRE: Steve Reynolds $400 $300 winner $100 third
Don't I (SRE) have a balance from a year or two ago that was not paid out?? I know I have a balance in Super Sixteen and I always sponsored the same amount for each class, (SS & GSR). Please let me know, If for some reason there is not a balance I may throw some more out there..............
Great racing! Thanks Ethan for doing what you do to keep GSR going! Was that .5 or .4 tree? I thought it was going to be .5 but seemed like .4....maybe I'm just getting old(er).....
Its a 400 tree Thanks to all the Participants,..and congrats to Darren and Alan on their win,.. We had a new sponsor come on board and will be stepping up in a big way next year. There will be a $50 buy in next year as well Together with current and hopefully more vendor support we will have a VERY ATTRACTIVE payout next year,..possibly close to $5k!!
Also moving forward car count will be limited to the 22 fastest cars,....so with that being said,....guys with slower cars,..spend some money and make some changes this season,...GET FASTER!!,... The goal of this class from day one was hard running,..clean cars that cover the 1320 QUICKLY,... The cutoff for next year will be 11.80 and will hopefully drop each year as competition builds and guys make improvements this not only fuels our community but builds excitement and desire to BE BETTER,...LOOK BETTER,..RUN HARDER AND REPRESENT BUICK PERFORMANCE!!
For any of you guys wanting or needing chassis work or ANY kind of fab work here is your guy!! Me and Matt have been friends for many years and you will not find a more capable,..consistent and just all around good guy. Would love to see you guys run some of his work https://www.facebook.com/performancefab1/
Let's all make some changes,..don't settle,..if you've been running xxxx for a few years,..its time to get faster!!
Ethan, thanks for the hard work you guys put into this class. Mine will be back out next year and will be set to run this class now. My question is why 22 cars for a cut off? Just curious?
To keep the field faster,....and to build competition among each other. The guys that are putting in the work getting a 750hp car to hook are at a big disadvantage vs a slower car,..I have nothing against a 12sec car its just that we are after a faster field,...
I think the buy in should be at least $75,that's S16's buy in. Doesn't break the wallet and much more to go to the purse for higher payouts
Well, looks like I will be a player in GSR next year in BG. Cant wait - it has been a dream for some years to be able to race in US.
