Some of you will recognize my new ride... http://www.buickperformancegroup.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3762
holy macaronio... That is one nice ride you got there... It even has the color I am considering repainting mine in , I was considering using the "Honda Element orange/red metallic" and maybe some ghost flames too.... Stands out a little more than puff cream.. Nice and in the 13's .. We want weekly updates w/pics, OR ELSE! Was the price ok? It seems easier to just buy something nice to start with than redoing everything, but I guess you don'y get the schooling then. :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: :bglasses: :bglasses: :bglasses: :bglasses: :Brow: :Brow: :Brow: :Brow:
....I was wondering what you were up to with the selling of the LeSabre......your new car is REALLY nice!!! :TU: You are on your way now......I believe there were no '71 Centurion sedans, so now you just need the 4 dr. hardtop to make it a complete set!!! :3gears:
Smartin, super purchase...Nice to see you back to the Centurion's after a few month of unfaithfulness with these vulgar Lesabre ! :beer
How come we don't get the story here first in the center of the buick boat universe? uzzled: U don't like us any more?
4 door Centurion Have you looked at this one? It's been advertised for a couple of months and is in your area. Or are you the one selling it? http://adcache.collectorcartraderonline.com/10/4/1/85913941.htm I apologize for posting this here instead of in the leads section.
Kimson, I am active on both boards...I just happened to use the BPG board this time for it. Boscoe, I haven't seen that one! Looks to be nice.
So what constitutes a "formal" coupe, versus just a coupe? o No: Also, great photos-what kind of a camera are you using/what resolution setting? Your photos are nice and "crisp."
Fuji FinePix S7000 6.3mp ...and it's already obsolete! I had the camera on medium setting, and shrunk the pics in Photoshop. I also used the "Sharpen" filter after I resized them. It generally helps make the pictures pop a bit more. The Formal Coupe has a specific vinyl roof, and a smaller back window than a normal 2 door hardtop. If you rip off the vinyl top, you will see spacers that fill the cavity where the normal window would fit.
To clarify further regarding the Formal Coupe, ALL 1971 (and 1972) Centurion 2-door hardtops were Formal Coupes. The "normal" 2-door hardtop roofline appeared on 1971 - 1973 LeSabres and 1973 Centurions. The 4-door '71 in St. Louis looks like a nice car, and is interesting in part because it appears to be finished in the seldom-seen Rosewood color.
Thanks for the clarification, Brian. This might be the little extra oomph I need to get the registry back into the groove. I've been pretty burned out on it lately. I have a huge backup of cars to enter.
