I noticed that the tire pressure decal on the '67 GS400 that I parted out is different than what is offered at the normal Buick parts suppliers and decal specialist. It's for the the GS400 only, the decals for sale must be generic to all '67 cars. I spent some time trying to reproduce the decal from my parts car. I will print a few after I get the right paper (glossy, adhesive backed). I will send one to anyone who needs one for the cost of the postage and printer paper. Respond here if interested. Original is on the right.
Hi Stacey, I'm definitely interested. I couldn't find one when I restored my interior and wound up using the red ink Skylark version. LMK the payment details. Thanks, Nick
I might be interested Stacy, I got to check this out. I think the original is still on my car. One thing...that decal says for 6 passengers (bench seat). I think a bucket seat car is different and would say for 5 passengers, maybe more load. Is your GS a bench seat car? look here https://www.ebay.com/itm/1969-BUICK...=item54435ccf91:g:U0oAAOxybi9Rc5vh:rk:13:pf:0
I have never seen one of those...but there are many things I haven't seen. The Ebay listing in the link does say its for a 1969 car, not a 1967. All I know for sure is that the decal in the first post is from a bucket seat car and appears to be original. Since it says its for 6 passengers, I assume it includes bench seat configurations. Let me know what's in your original GS400 car.
Stacey, I just looked at mine. Mine is an original bucket seat car. The sticker is the same color lettering, says 6 passenger, all the info is the same. I can't tell about the part#, that corner on mine is torn off. I remember researching that a long time ago, I couldn't locate one, so I just left mine on the door. I think because I have a 70 GS I was confused about the 6 vs 5 passenger thing. I think the 70 decal either has both 6 + 5 on the same decal or separate decals. I know I've had a lot of probs finding the stickers. I think maybe I never changed the one on my 70 GS because I have the 15" wheel option and couldn't find one for that car either. Recently, I just bought some "Keep your GM..." air cleaner decals from an Olds maniac, for my 442. It seems all the repros are smaller than the originals. Probably true for Buick repros, too. I would take a couple of the 67 stickers and happily pay SH and going costs for them.
Ok guys I found some paper on Amazon, I should be able to mail you some stickers before the new year. Stay tuned.
Would be interested in 2 of them, one for the wagon and one for the red GS400 auto convertible. Thanks,
Merry Christmas Stacey. I am interested in one of those too. I am happy to pay you for air mail postage to NZ. Thanks for your efforts!
Stacey, I would like to buy three of these if possible. Thanks for offering to help the other '67 guys.
Okeydoke guys. Keep replying here if you want some of the decals. When the printer paper arrives I will run some off and make sure they are good before I send any out. At this point I don't need any money for the decals, it's not worth the trouble. When they are ready to mail I will let you know and you can just PM me your address.
Hijack warning! Has anyone made the correct sticker for 1968? If not, will someone? I just looked at mine and did a quick search online; the same one comes up from several vendors and it’s wrong. The ‘69 repro is closer, but has wrong pressures. Patrick
The paper arrived and I printed a sheet of labels today. They look good but I want to compare them to the original before I send any out. In the mean time, please PM your address to me if you want some. I will try and get them in the mail this weekend.
If someone can send a high resolution photo of a complete decal along with the dimensions, I can reproduce it. It's not that hard.
