Nice that it is a black car. I would put in a red interior so it would look like the "Black Widow " 67 that a member on here built. Coolest 67 ever . GLWS.
Just a bit of trivia, the red interior was only available with bucket seats and was only offered in the convertible. If you see a red bucket seat interior in a hardtop or sedan, someone swapped it to red. I have no idea why Buick didn't offer the red interior in all three body styles because it sure looks good. The red interior was pretty rare too, only 266 of the GS400 convertibles got it.
I love a red interior and the "convertible only" applied to the 1965 Wildcat Custom Coupe- so I changed my red/black car to a black/red Custom. Deluxe level models had a red bench seat interior available. The only one I have seen - Wildcat Deluxe Coupe with red interior belongs to Brian Laurence.
Has anyone bought this yet? It is torturing me. I have way too many projects so I'd really like to see someone here scoop this up so I can stop day dreaming about it. Bump to the top for a badass car.
I think there's a lot of guys thinking/dreaming about this one & everyone has the same problem you mentioned. '67's were/are great looking cars. Throw the 4-sp. in the mix & a solid body & someone will pull the trigger sooner or later.
The more I look at it the more I don't want to see it go....if I had 2k to throw at it I wouldn't consider selling it....as it would run and be my toy for a bit
What are you currently asking for it? I'm currently restoring a 67 GS400 convertible 3-speed on the floor with console. Which is one of 90. It would be kind of cool to have a hard top 4-speed to go next to it.
I believe the car still has it's posi. Rear end in it. Nothing like going through the gears with the torque of BB BUICK. My 1st. 67 GS was 4 speed convertible. Went to look at the car and the guy threw me the keys and said go take for ride- that was when I realized I was in love with feeling of torque of good running BBB. Body was rough but mechanically SOUND. Had #s matching drivetrain with posi. Decided to do frame off restoration- haven't touched it in 18 year's- motor and tranny in it and not to far to be completed.WILL GET BACK ON FINISHING SOON. This 67 GS 400 Black on black 4 speed would be VERY FUN car. Good luck with sale
