Will poverty caps fit these wheels?

Also, I would like to go to an 8” wheel in the back, but I can’t see any wheel like this that has the optimal 5” backspace. From what I have read, Wheel Vintiques doesn’t do custom offsets any longer. Any other options?

It seems like your going through similar research that I am. I am looking to swap out my current wheel and tire setup to go with a more sleeper approach. I have a bigger issue trying to find 18s to accommodate my tire/wheel setup with backspacing.. but have been looking at these:

    https://www.uswheel.com/wheel/11996/us-wheel-rat-rod-series-65-extended-sizing/?finishID=9

a factory dog dish is about 10 1/8” in diameter. Go to the US wheel site and search for wheels that accept their c111 cap which is the Chevy version of the Buick cap. I would recommend ordering from US wheel direct because they will need to know prior to shipping that you need the clips installed

Thanks for that resource. Did not think to go direct, I was just searching google which lead to Summit and Jegs!! I see that US Wheel might also do custom backspacing. I will give them a call tomorrow.

Let me know how that conversation goes if you don’t mind. I need to get my current wheel off to get the backspacing

I talked with US Wheel today and he said no problem with custom backspacing. Just enter the backspacing you want on the notes/comments section of the cart and they will get them done. Of course not returnable if you are wrong on the measurmenets you give them!

Hard to beat that. Is there an additional cost? I plan on ordering around October

He did not mention an up charge. I don't think so but not 100% sure either.

Also confirmed this weekend that the caps do fit the wheels from US Wheel. My Dad (GSMan66) came in town this weekend and delivered (and polished!!!) them after he dug out the originals that came on the car. Here is a quick pic:

    X3 great look.
Would you mind posting a pic with the cap off?
Somebody was talking about clips that need to be installed

Here is one. No clips necessary. Cap pressure fits over the three areas on the center ring.

Interesting. What US wheel did you end up buying?

It’s the US wheel pictured above. The 657 series bare steel. I bought two 15x7’s (4 1/4” backspacing) from Jegs that I didn’t need additional backspacing on and two 15x8’s from US Wheel with 5 1/4” backspacing. No charge for that but they cost more directly from US Wheel.

Thanks for sharing Jarrod. And what are the "clips" that would need to be there in order to install the poverty caps? The picture at least looks similar to a regular 80ies GM rim. What am I missing?

    Patrick-
No clips on these- you may be thinking of the 5 x 5 big car poverty caps that require them.

The wheels I posted about need the clips to run the 10.5” dog dish. That’s the wheel I will be buying
