I Have billet pulleys ( crank & water pump) on my 455, the crank pulley is under driven.
What are you guys using for an alternator belt in this application? I only need 1 belt
to drive the alternator and water pump, I have no power steering or AC.

Take a piece of rope, wrap it around the pullies and measure the length. Bring that measurement to your local auto parts store and get the same length belt

Make sure you put the alternator midway in it's adjustment before you do the rope thing. That way, you'll be able to get the belt on, and tighten it up.

Yeah, I have a Taylors tape measure. I was hoping someone knew a part number for an application
like mine. The parts counter people aren't as sharp as they used to be 20-30 years ago.

Max Damage I'm working on it!

I have used the rope trick and the O'rielly people (kids) give me the wrong belt twice now! Sheesh, I guess they don't know how to measure.

If you know the length, you can put the part number together yourself. In dayco, the first 2 numbers is the width and the last 3 numbers is the length.

For example, the widths are 13,15 and 17. 15 is the width for a standard v belt. If your measurement is 48 1/2", that would make the last 3 numbers 485. If you needed a 48" belt, it would be 480.

So a 48" long v belt for your alternator would be 15480 as as example

Gary, no it's not for the wagon. I still have the wagon, it's on the back burner.
This is for my '77 coupe deville (Stage 2 powered) sleeper.
