Steve with the rear weight of these vehicles you will need more psi to keep the tire from wadding up. We'll take some launch pictures to see how the tire acts. But it'll depend on how track prep is for sure.

I know your probably directing that towards Steve R. but to much rear weight on my car is not an issue. Maybe not enough.

Picked up a full tenth in 60ft from saggy slicks to drag radials .
First time out car was chattering tires bad going to left hard every time . paid someone stupid money to set it up the first time & It was all screwed up. Told me to put drag radias on it . I said if it won't leave on slicks it anti going to go on drag radials

Fixed the instant center readjusted the shocks & bolted on slicks .
First time out it went straight hooked hard crushed tire & 1.36 on trans brake. IMG_1246.jpeg
Put drag radials on next changed nothing
smacked it from 2000 rpm went 1.26 18 psi

The radials have a stiffer side wall which our heavy cars like......but blow a radial off or even a light chatter it and it rarely recovers without major pedal job and by then the run is wasted..........but slicks will often drive through hook on their own and only cost you a few hundreds not many tenths at best........

Finally got the Hawk to leave with a 1.18 60' on slicks at 6 psi. I may try the radials again at a later date.

Na, Those runs were prior to the Nationals. Still have it in pieces. Its way too hot down here to race anyway. Ended up having a new set of rockers made. Ordered some parts from PAC and they sent mis labeled locks. Typical race car build issues. I should have it back together in a few weeks.

I seen that post on the rockers being made. What ratio? 1.65? Cost?

1.71 ratio 130$ each. Same as TA would have charged if they still stocked them. There will be a full extra set made. + a few spares.
