I took a chance and bought a repro cowl molding from Tamraz off eBay, and had a chance to install it this weekend. I did a little comparison video on it vs. the factory molding...

You don't seem very excited about that piece...

Also I bought a dome light from Tamaraz that looked ok, for a moment, but within a year was completely falling apart...

Well, it looks good installed, and didn’t require me to drill holes to install it...I would call that a win for a reproduction piece. This is perfect for a really nice driver...and I am willing to bet that most guys couldn’t pick it out as a repro piece if they were looking at the car.

Thanks for the video. My factory molding has been in rough shape for quite a while. I’ve looked at the reproductions many times but was always leery about the quality/fittment.

    Working on it:D

It helps when I have to watch my own videos many times over during editing, and realizing my weak points. I have massive stage fright/performance anxiety. At the very least, it’s helping me loosen up a bit.

I babbled at a camera for 10 minutes while installing that trim...damn thing never recorded a second of it.

a beer or two might help!

Surprised they even repro this part. I probably have 5 or 6 perfect ones.

I think it's the same on a Chevelle and other A bodies, so they aren't thinking of us.
