  2. In and effort to reduce the spam on the site, several years ago I had went to a program where I manually approve each and every new registration. This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. Just send an email to me at jim@trishieldperformance.com and I will verify your registration. This policy will remain in effect indefinitely, as it has completely eliminated the bad actors from our site, who would spam and hack it, once they gained access. Thanks JW

Ordering on website

I wish you could order parts on TA's website. I would think that you would do more business that way. It's kind of an impulse thing, surfing the web late at night. There are a lot of times I would order something during non-business hours if I could, but I never get around to it during the day. In that case I might end up getting it somewhere else. This probably applies more to things like gaskets and other low dollar items, so I don't know if it's worth it, but that's my $.02

I agree, but I'd probably buy more than gaskets! Impulse buying gets expensive!

I know, I just have so little time because of college to work on the website, its really time consuming. I really don't like the current site so between trying to finally finish my car after 2 years, I'm going to try to get a new site over the summer that hopefully has online ordering working. The difficult part is getting the website to calculate correct shipping charges and getting it to integrate with our accounting software or at least being easy to deal with so that it isn't too much of a hassle for my mother to manage, both of which the current site cant do.

Well I dont think there's anything we can do about long distance charges because we dont charge a toll for customers to call us.

I can understand, its just easiest for us to deal with at the moment and minimized mistakes or wrong orders etc being we deal directly. You can always just shoot me a PM or email to sales@taperformance.com to place an order.

I would much rather talk to someone, that would insure i'm ordering the correct part(s) for my application:laugh:
The world has gotten so impersonal with the electronic age.:spank:

Thats why we prefer telephone so that we can confirm with the customer what they actually need. Cant tell you how often someone calls to order thinking they know what they need and it turns out to be wrong, with a site they woulda ended up ordering the wrong thing, then having to shp it back and it turns into a hassle for both ends. I do understand not liking to talk on the phone, I prefer just over the internet a lot of the times versus calling as well.

Exactly. I hope TA does NOT do it, it will drive up costs (and therefore prices) from all of the people who buy the wrong thing.

Especially (spelling) for a first time buyer like me. I dont exactly know what to get. I have an order planned out but if its not right they will tell me what is right on the spot. I cant wait until I order (next winter though :Dou: )
