I am driving my daughters GN (no one wants to mess with the supercharged 455 Skylark) into town and have to pass over US-23. There are 3 lights to get over this and you can never clean them. So just putting along trying to time the first two. Black Ford F-350 all tricked out starts riding my bumper. This thing is jacked has the 4 inch stacks coming up out of the bed, chipped because it is belching black smoke. I catch the last red and he whips around and lines up next to me. No he is all power braked up what to destroy little black car. Little black car make 425 ft/pounds at the rear wheels (not stock :)) Light turns and there is a mighty roar from the Ford, since I was not power braking the GN there is a 10 ft lag and then the turbo hits. The GN rips by the Ford hazing the tires for a 100 feet. All of a sudden the truck needs to make a turn into Culvers before the next light. Guess he was suddenly hungry.

Yeah Doug! wait to go. He had to go drowned his sorrows in ice cream. That Skylark's not exactly a sleeper, it not only looks fast, it is. By the way everyone wants to pass a GN at least try :)

When you’re a tricked out F-350 owner that’s the equivalent of being demasculated.

I know, castrated. And he is still has to make his payments. The only thing worse would have been a exotic sports car.

Gary, at least a few people are dumb enough to try the GN. Nobody wants any part of the Skylark. Now would be there chance with that one because the blower is in for a rebuild.

Some of these guys in their trucks have watched one too many you tube videos of 10 second diesel pick ups. That said I had a F350 with bolt on's and a tune that was pretty quick for what it was but c'mon not 12 sec quick. The F250 I have now runs very well but I don't tease things I know are out of my league. But I had to beat down a guy in his F350 who thought he was the bad A## of the neighborhood along with his buddy in a Dodge Cummins. Not sure why they think 6000+ lbs with over the counter parts and a tuner is gonna put them in the 12's or even the 13's.

I know there are some bad 10 sec trucks out there. But getting a street truck into the 13's is a really big deal. So I am pretty safe in saying, "your truck ain't fast."

Im convinced these young guys that own diesel trucks only own them for the turbo whistle, the clatter, and tune 'em to belch soot, like a steam engine:rolleyes:
New diesels are much quieter, I bet the market for late model diesels is down as far as the younger kids buying 'em, "they're too quiet, Dad"

I get all the diesel weenies in there "bad A$$ mall crawlers", from Wyotech. The BS I hear.

Way to go Doug. Nice kill. I know those lights and it's impossible to catch them all Green. Glad you caught the last Red One and had fun eating a guy who learned a lesson.

Wow, I'm guessing I see it from a whole different perspective. So the guy wanted to race his truck against your daughter's GN. He tried. He lost. He should have had a Ram or Duramax.

I have similar stories. Every-time I drive the GN, magically Diesel jack@$$s seem come out. Equivalent to a big goofy dog until they get swiped on the nose by a cat. Suddenly the dog has no interest in the cat.

Time to sell the F350. :D I remember the days when pickups were cheap and you used them to take stuff to the dump and get mulch from the town DPW.
