That not nice, make us jealous. I just took the batteries out of my electric scooter. Don't want to have them ruined. Back to a cane.

    Must be nice LOL
We really don’t get the snow like we used too here in northeastern Ohio (Cleveland)

My wife and I came up to Virginia to see the fall leaves change. The weather was perfect!!! Now it’s starting to get cold. Back to south Florida Tuesday morning. We’re bringing my 93 year old mother down to Florida so she can watch the great grand children trick or treating. We’re going to bring her back home a week later.

First really cold night, down in the 30's I'll get a rush of calls. After that its just a few a day. Perfect time to go racing!

Maine has screwed itself up far less then any other Northeastern state. If I had all the money that I wanted, I would have a house on top of the rocky shoreline of Maine "down East".

In what respect? (or is this question too explosive?) :D I am more or less a stone's throw from the ocean myself. I wake up to the sound of lobster boats and the horn of the Swan's Island Ferry. ;) I would never trade it, as much as I hate winter.

75 here today, 77 tomorrow and 79 on Thursday!

We have actually had a few cold nights and frosts already, enough to find out that my heat pump isn't heat pumpin'. I also have an oil furnace, so we still have heat, but I don't like burning oil this early in the season. I have someone coming out on Thursday, hopefully they can get the heat pump working again!

Yes - and I found everything in order and three empty rodent traps! The Infinity 96 blows heat through the ambient temp A/C evaporator attached to the Infinity's outlet (all laying on their sides). I assisted my contractor buddy with the install (and completed the wiring, plumbing, sealing myself) so I mostly know what I'm looking at up there. I spent so much time kneeling and laying down there in November 2011 that I put my carpet remnants in there for comfort. My short inspection included opening furnace the doors, looking for dirt, bad joint sealing, clean igniters, hand spinning the fan and assessing vibration, confirming intact drain and exhaust plumbing, sniffing the gas line, making sure "everybody" was stable on their "feet." Last year I did find that the evaporator casing had cracked open for a loose screw and was sucking attic air into the system; hence the importance of not ignoring the place.

If you’re a cold- snow lover like myself , there is the usual hype of cold and snowy winters that hardly ever pan out On LI the last snowfall of significance was late Jan ‘21. It was melted in 2 weeks. Looking for a landing strip within 400 miles where winters are robust and summer heat is brief and tolerable. Have a few yrs but to go but weather data is conflicting. My cars never went or in snow so not a factor

Temp hasn’t been to bad down my way. Don’t look like I’ll get my new shop insulated before it gets cold out. Would have liked to so I can get everything arranged and get caught up on all my projects.
