    Hi,

With the All GM Picnic a month away, I plan to begin phoning Buick owners in the weeks ahead. If you know of friends, who, unfortunately, aren't V8Buick forum members, please let them know of this event. I'll put the word out on the TurboBuick.com site, as well. There are some long-time friends, dating back to the ol' Buick car club days, who are members of this forum.
And , if there are any items you need for your Buick, post them within this thread, so we can have a trunk swap meet, while at the show.
Enjoy the awesome weather, and don't sweat too much detailing your ride!

    Take care,

    Nando.

The All GM Picnic is a week away, and I'm hoping we'll have a great showing of Buicks on Sunday.

I've posted a thread on the TurboBuick.Com site to draw attention to this upcoming event. I, also, contacted Shaun McCracken, of the Grand National Racing Association, to forward the membership details of the show. As well, I called a few other friends, with Buicks, to let them know of this get-together. If anything, it'll be a great chance to see plenty of nice cars, in an idylic setting.

If interested in any 1968-1969 Buick parts contact Bart at (778) 808-8877. He, also, may be parting out a 1969 Riviera. He intends to be at the Picnic, so it may be a good time to call him with any of your specific needs.

    See you next Sunday,

    Nando.

    Hi Harvey,

That sounds like a great trip! Doug F. and his family, just left for Oregon, today. They plan to be in the U.S. for about 9 days.
Will there be any other events you plan to attend, once your '67 GS convertible is complete? Doug and I will be at the 14th Annual Sleepy Hollow Rod Run in Sechelt on August 7th, 8th. I'm staying over on the 9th for the drag racing at the airport.

    Take care,

    Nando.

    Hi all,

Happy Independence Day to all our American friends and their families!
Seems we'll have a good turn-out for tomorrow's Picnic. Weather is fantastic. I plan to be there at about 11:00 a.m. with my 1971 GS-455. Should be fun. Don't forget to bring some refreshments. Gotta hydrate!
    See you at the Park.

    Nando.

    Hi Doug and family,

Hope all is well. Where's Randy? Always, enjoy looking through his photo galleries. I'll bring the conventional camera, but I'm sure there are others who'll take some fine pictures.

    Take care,

    Nando.

    Hi all,

Thought I'd post a few pictures of the recent All GM Picnic held on July 5th at Campbell Valley Regional Park in south Langley. These pictures were taken by Johnny L., who attended the show this year in his gorgeous 1964 Skylark. Johnny travelled from Whistler to be at the show, probably the longest distance driven amongst the show entrants.
I will post more pictures later, with an account of how the day went.

    Take care,

    Nando.

    Hi all,

The weather was absolutely gorgeous for the All GM Picnic held at Campbell Valley Regional Park in Langley on July 5th. And you'd have thought such a picture-perfect day would have resulted in a hefty turnout of GMs for this event. But, by my count, some 25 collector cars showed, and about half; 12 of those attending, were Buicks... thanks to the support of those I called, and came to the show. The Buick Grand National Racing Association was well represented with 5 GN and T-types, and past member Rob Stariha with his 1989 Pontiac TTA. Shaun McCracken, GNRA Events Committee organizer, was helpful in getting the word out to the membership, prior to the meet. Johnny Lovat drove from Whistler in his pristine 1964 Skylark. I believe, he drove the furthest distance to be there, and was rewarded with a nice door prize. Paul Paulsen always saves me a spot beside his 1972 GS, with GSX-styling. Fortunately for him, he lives only a short distance from the park, and always attends early. Bill and Linda Kilgour, again, brought their black 1965 dual quad-carbed Riviera GS. Always enjoy talking to Bill, as he's got the odd story to tell about rare Buicks out on the back 40. His latest revelation was an account of a 1970 yellow GSX owned by an ex-CFLer, who needed to sell the car in a "disposition of assets" sale. Owww! That particular GSX had been owned by my cousin and he sold it in the early 80's. It's now resurfaced! Probably needs a total restoration, from what I've heard.
I want to thank the B.C. Oldsmobile Club for the many door prizes made available to the entrants, and their club's generosity in providing an abundance of food for us, while relaxing at the park.

    Nando.
