I think I remember the 2gc being adjustable with different holes and linkage bending ect.... but,,,,, that has been a long time ago.....

By holes do you mean jets? Is the linkage external?

The 2GC's accelerator pump is not adjustable other than bending linkage and verifying pump rod height.

I don't want to adjust the choke. Just the amount of gas it puts out:beers2:

Sorry, I knew what you meant but dropped in the wrong word. I corrected my post above.

Will bending the linkage weaken it

If done carefully, no. But the only purpose of doing so is to simply make sure the pump is set up properly. If it already is, screwing with it more without knowing how it all works can actually reduce the volume of the shot.

Try searching google for some websites related to circle track racing. There are certain classes that are forced to stick to the 2GC, so naturally some folks are pretty good at squeezing out every last drop of performance. Personally, I don't feel it's worthwhile to do so when you're not restricted like the class racers are. The 5 hp you will work your butt off trying to get with a two barrel will be nothing like what it feels like to switch to a q-jet. The best performance enhancer is a manifold and carb replacement, both from a time and money standpoint.

    Re: accelorator pump shot more

Not going for more power just not a lean start and take off in the morning. So a little more gas would help

This is what happens... I start it up in the mornin let it run for a bit and when I take off. It stubles a bit when I'm on the gas lightly, but if I floor it it stampeeds of just fine.

Sounds like your choke is opening a smidge too soon.
