The latest date that the wheels must be received by Kochs is 31 March 2025 The cost for each wheel is $750. The only "up front cost" is your shipping the wheel.     The trunk lid went on without one adjustment. Bolted it on and it’s right where it needs to be. Time to go buy a lottery ticket!

    the door latches were another story. Those only took an hour or so, though.

    behold the pollen magnet...and this thing is in a closed garage. Most of the time. Pollen is really bad this year.

    Adam could you hurry up and finish this car. :) I am really wanting to see it done. You know all them TV guys do a car in 30min or less kind of like Dominos lol. Whats taken you so long lol.... Of course you know I am just messing with you. The car is looking great and you're doing a spectacular job on it. Thanks for posting all the photos for us to enjoy. I think the photos help motivate others to get on there project cars and I bet a lot of them didn't need this much work !

    I have been busy with installing all the door guts, and rear window guts. Wiring harnesses, cleaning and painting other small parts. I've also had several members help me out with some real oddball parts locating, too. Time to take a break from that and start cutting and buffing this thing.

    Oh yeah, I got the seats back from the upholstery shop last week. I'll save those for a later photo shoot...they're tucked away safe.

    I am reminded why I am not really a fan of this particular process. The end result is absolutely worth the trouble, though. Average for the first round of sanding is about an hour per panel. So about 8-10 hours. Then another round of 2000, then 3000 on a DA. Then 3 rounds of buffing. So it totals about 40-50 hours.

    I had a guy late last Summer that wanted me to cut and buff his BLACK 65 Riv. I quoted him about $1500. He crapped his pants, but I explained to him the process. Also that it's a black car. $1500 was too cheap for the hours I had into it, but I was happy with the job. And when he finally saw the end result, it was worth the price. He was originally thinking it would be about $700. Sorry, buddy.

    RetroSound reproduces those. They even make a bracket wherein you can install 2 3" speakers in the center of the dash...just did it to my Skyhawk.

    Only have the fenders left to cut with 1000, then I do it all over again. It’ll be a much faster round, though.

    I can’t wait to move this thing into the big shop. There is SO much more light in there.

    Adam,

    I can't say what a STAND-UP job you are doing. More than likely better than MANY pro shops.
    You pay attention to details at the FULLEST extent. This is the pride in workmanship that is missing in today's society. AND, there's HUGE satisfaction accomplishing what you do & are doing.
    I wouldn't hesitate bringing my Riv. to you. Although it would be a long drive it wouldn't be the 1st. time.
    Probably have to schedule 5 years in advance.

    1000 grit finished early this morning. Buzzed through the 2000 round, and then 3000 DA. Before I quit for the day, I ran the buffer over the RH door to get some motivation.
