This was just put out along Rt 380 in my area in general vicinity of Saltsburg/Apollo PA. It was raining so I did not get down and look underneath. No affiliation with seller. Not sure but I don't think too many ragtops were made. Rare to see one so figured I'd post it.

Convertible with buckets and console.... that's definitely on the scarce side.

Those seats look like they came out of a '66 GTO.

Nick,I think they are 67 GTO seats

They don't have the seat back locks like on '67's. So it looks like '67 GTO seat covers on '66 seat frames.

They didn't even bother to mount the windshield wiper arms, it's so fresh of a flip-paintjob. Still, at $15K it looks like it would be a good deal, provided it isn't full of mud or license plates. This was the lowest production Cat, the interior tells me it's the Custom or the better trim package, and there were only 2276 of them made. Sure, the seats are not right, but since they're essentially the right frames, upholstery can be corrected, and on that car it would be worth it. Motor and all of that look correct, and besides the "craigslist rebuild" it would be worth the shot. Here's a really cheap way to get one of the scarcest Cats made, and even though they were big, these cars were stupid fast and a lot of fun to drive. Too bad this is a low option one, power windows, cruise and a better radio would have been nice.
If it was close to me, I'd be all over it.

I stopped and looked underneath the other day and was surprised how clean it was for a PA car. New gas tank. Everything behind rear axle was nice including the rear most cross member in front of rear bumper. Did ot see a posi tag on rear diff. Behind rear wheel inside lowest part of quarter still had the original rubber insert water drain. There was some sign of rust on inside behing wheel but nothing alarming. I did note appearance of what looked like a tiger hair repair maybe 8-10" wide on the driver side floor pan. Thinking seller might take a fair amount less. The car is left sitting out in the weather which sort of indicates someone no longer cares that much for it.
I'm thinking 67 bucket seats should have a seat back latch button and these do not?? Not sure why someone would replace whole seat frames as most of car looks pretty OEM.

Not a bad car. Trans needing work makes me think the asking price needs work.

A rebuilt trans would only cost around $2000, 00 so even at $15K this still isn't a bad deal. I've already had one, they are a lot of fun, and I guess if I still had mine, I'd really be interested in that one because you just can't have enough until you don't want anything anymore. :D
I do miss mine, and then I don't, I remember all the issues it had that eventually drove me to get rid of it. (I didn't want to rebuild yet another Buick drive line).
This one looks like it would be well worth the risks, even if the tailights need some scraping to reveal the chrome bits.

A trans rebuild is not the end of the world. You definetly can do it yourself if you are handy. Just needs a couple special tools not normal for an engine rebuild. A Veneer caliper will cover most of the special requirements. Worst part is the trans fluid that is everywhere even after you drain it.

But my point is most people wont attempt a trans rebuild because it is different. They are actually not that bad. At least those from that era.

But I still say a bad trans means a discount.
