I have the bushings that I took off the car during disassembly. They look like this part, which on the Fusick says is for a '73 to '77 olds. http://www.fusickautomotiveproducts.com/prodinfo.asp?number=RC737K

I purchased this set. http://www.oldbuickparts.com/product_info.php?products_id=1570 which are taller than the square ones.

This car has front end damage so I'm thinking it is possible that the core support was replaced somewhere in mid 70's, and they just ordered the current year's mounts since it would have been a 10 year old car at that time.

So, does anybody have a picture or measurement of the height of the body mount once installed? It is probably a 3/8" difference in height which I assume would screw up my fender gaps. Or am i overly concerned about the height?

I ordered a set of bushings for a 67 cutlass from the Parts Place. I seem to remember that they were a match to my originals. I got the tip to use those from a post here a while ago. I have not installed them yet. I have been focused on paint prep. Not quite ready for assembly yet!

Over the years I have replaced the support bushing on 65/6/7 GS's, Just looked at all three years of mine and all have round bushings, but not like the ones from CARS. As I remember, I mostly used the originals, on the 66 I am finishing up, I uses the round metal parts and purchased from Restoration Specialties the lower rubber there part # 20012, not sure what I used for the upper rubber, original or something I had left over from the body mount kit, for that car or a 68/72. I have a set of the square one's marked 67 Skylark, must have saved from a car I parted out. the lower metal/rubber is 5/8" tall. I see the Fusick ones list 3 different sets, one for 66/72. They do not list the height of the lower bushing. The difference I see in all three of the Fusick sets is that on the upper the washer is not molded into the rubber, like my set are. Again may be just the pictures, the what you receive. Walt on the board was very helpful when I did my 66. Maybe he or some 67 experts can answer the round. square thing. Maybe it was different plants used different. My 67 was restored 35 years ago, and cannot remember what it had in it when I tore it down, and if I used the originals or reproductions, That is why I kept the square one's from a parts car. Remember if the lower is a little short you can shim, but if to tall you are correct the fender gap will be a problem.

My originals are definitely square. If you are not in a hurry I can measure my originals. I am not sure where they are right now off the top of my head.

You should assemble ALL the body sheet metal before paint. All the tweaking, shimming, grinding, etc. can be done and there won't be any surprises when you go to final assembly. You may find that it will come apart and back together several times before you are happy with the results.

This part worked great. Same diameter rubber below fits up in the support nice, and being shorter than those others, it put the front end in line with doors and such.
The bolts are worthless in my opinion, re-use the original or buy the correct bolts, those bright silver things just never look right.

Thanks Jon - Thats the whole kit. I was hoping to find just the rubber parts. I think you(?) said the original hardware is better anyway.
