Is anyone restoring their interior and having a really hard time getting the components? I have a 69 GS 400 convt. I have ordered a full interior from Legendary, back in Jan 22, They keep telling me that the NON- metallic Parchment is unavailable. They keep getting samples of metallic parchment and are having a hard time getting the regular color. I have had the seat covers and doors panels in hand already from PUI , but they are wrong. Just curious if this is the norm for anyone else. Because of the "railroad track" pattern you just cant get and interior guy to make them for you. If anyone has a new set of seat covers and door panels they dont want , let me know. Its the only this holding up the completion of the restoration. Thanks

I think Legendary is the best deal. Sorry they don't have the right materials.

SMS in Oregon probably has the materials and can make what you need, but the $ will be shocking.

FYI on SMS: I ordered seat covers from them in January 2021 and was told it would be 8 months. Well 20+ months later I still don't have them but they have 100% of my money so they don't seem to be in any hurry. BEWARE!

A friend recently ordered 5 yards of material from SMS and was told he could have in two weeks. It arrived this week, 5 months later! He called monthly and got a different excuse every time about the delay.

Thank you both, Same deal, no product, but they have all of my money. I am supposed to have an update after tomorrow, when their buyer gets back from vacation. I will update what I am told. I guess we are all in the same boat. On the bright side, I was able to " borrow" a seat from a 68. Smells funky, but at least I have been able to drive the car. Man, what a beast she is.

Ordered an "Interior Kit" from a Supplier I have dealt with for years. Bucket Seat covers & Door cards have been on Back Order for over a year.
I ordered the "Kit" 5-10-21, & have called the Manufacturer & the Supplier.
This is for a 66 Impala SS Convert. I inherited 8/17, so it isn't just Buick Parts.

Update- Legendary came through, received the door panels and seat covers on Xmas eve. Now the fun part, the upholsterer. Hopefully top and interior done by spring

I ordered black rear seat c0vers back in 2022 may. At first they said I would receive around this time frame now, but just the other day I got a email saying 2024…

Stick to them, Try to find out when just the material will be in. That I found to be helpful.

This is my beef. I could see 50% down/50% to ship but 100% up front for something that won't be delivered for 12-18 mos. wreaks.

Time to start telling them , you charge when items ship , like they always have , unless it’s some weird non - stock color / pattern .

That would be acceptable, at least show availability and shipping time. To put out the full amount and then have to inquire when the shipping is going to happen is not good business

OPGI. The crazy thing is there website says they are in stock this June. Looking back on all my back order emails, my order has been switched around 4 times all different dates. This isn’t the first time having problems with opgi too. I try to avoid ordering from them. Where is everyone ordering there sets from?

PUI is in stock I might just do them instead. Is the build quality noticeably worse?

I posted this question awhile back as I was considering buying PUI seat covers (& Legendary door panels) from someone on here that wasn't going to be using them & everyone pretty much said to go w/Legendary for everything. I was certainly pleased w/the last set I got from them and I'm not in a hurry but also not thrilled about their terms.

I think Todd at Stagewon can order these for you? https://www.stage1restoration.com/

At least he's straight up and won't give you a run around. Probably a better price also.

Even as a dealer Todd still has to pay 100% up front so it doesn't get around that problem. I asked & would've already ordered otherwise.

We've used PUI a couple of times when the customer had ordered it in prior to bringing us the car. In one case the door panels were so thick that we couldn't install the window cranks. Not a Buick but nonetheless it was a red flag . . . .

Also, another thing to consider when ordering Door Panels and/or Seat Covers. Even if you only plan to order Door Panels now and Seat Covers later when you can afford them or what ever reason you have for not ordering it all at once is the Material should come off of the same roll SO IT MATCHES!!! We've even seen different sheens on Black Material and even worse on any colors. So always try and order these items at the same time so it all matches. That is why most of us dealers do not stock Door Panels or Seat Covers. Buying them from a company that has them in stock is taking the risk that the material may not match 100%. Just something to consider if you want your interior to match. If you are someone that doesn't necessarily care then you can order from whoever and order it at different times if desired.

Knowing how fussy Dano is (no offense, it's a good thing) I don't think you'd be happy if your interior pcs didn't match each other!!! Just my .02
