When you read about some of these posts here it really never sinks in until it affects yourself. I really appreciate this section on this board. After 2 failed marriages, I finally met the one I was meant to be with. Greatest partner and true mate that I have ever encountered. Heart of gold , beaten by her ex , violated and born premature as an infant. Survived all that. Raised 2 challenged boys and gone through several miscarriages never ever given up on her faith and now at 51 fighting for her life with a heart condition all alone in the hospital. Me and her 2 kids can not see her due to Covid and she will probably die all alone. What has this world come to let this happen to such a beautiful soul. Any thoughts and prayers appreciate. Thank you brothers and sisters.
Thoughts and prayers for you and your family brother. Keep in mind that the apostle Paul said “ for me to live is Christ and to die is gain.” No hurting, no tears, no suffering in heaven. No memory of any suffering that we had during our years on earth. Our reward is in Heaven for eternity! We feel pain in our hearts because of all the reasons you mentioned but, thats all gone when we enter the gates of heaven and live in paradise with our Savior. That is our reward for repenting, following Christ and sharing the gospel here on earth. It sounds like your lady understands that faith and she knows the eternal reward that awaits her!
Thank you brother. All this speaks volumes to me and my better half. Thanks for your words of wisdom and grace.
I will add my meager prayer, and ever grateful that it is multiplied by He that created all. My journey in life has been a challenge, even before my birth, but I have not endured, nor prevailed because of my strength. I have made it thus far, only and because He, who knit me together in my mother's womb, and yet "knew me" before I was formed, purposed to keep me, and lead me to Himself. For I have no reason, nor thought that can ever justify such a thing, and yet, remain always grateful and in awe for it. May, He, Who has created the vast and un imaginable universe, and all it contains, give you peace and solace in your time of anguish.
Heart felt prayers to you and your family. She sounds like great person and i'm sure she's a fighter.
Thoughts and prayers, take her faith and keep it for her and you....we will be thinking of your family.
Prayers for you, your and her family, and especially for your partner. May she never feel alone and know that you are with her even when you're apart.
Thanks guys her heart has stopped a few times and they have been able to bring her back. She is scheduled to get a pacemaker tonight or tomorrow. I let her know about all your thoughts and prayers. Prayer especially in numbers because it comes from the heart does help. On a side note 30 years ago I was in a fatal vehicle accident where one person died and I was brought back to life. God is real and what I seen came true 12 years later and I have a witness to prove it. On God's time. Never give up. There is always a reason. Just we may not see or understand it at the time. It all makes sense in the end. I appreciate all your thoughts and prayers., Steve
Prayers sent for you and your lady during this difficult time Steve. Hopefully, in a day or so you'll be sharing a story about how well she's doing with her new pacemaker.
There are no words to describe what you are going through but I feel for you, and I know in my heart that we all do here on V8Buick. It may sound like a cliche to say I know what you are going through, but I do. My wife passed away 3 months ago and I hope and pray for you that you don't have to go through that.
Sugery went well. She is recovering. They changed batteries in her monitor and her heart took a jolt and went into arrest. Said she thought she was going to die. Couldn't breathe or talk. She prayed and her heart became ok. Not over yet. Hope they don't have to change batteries again before she can leave the hospital. , Steve
