I'm almost caught up to the tealmist car as far as progress. I had a major setback with the convertible top install on that one. Kind of glad MCACN was canceled.
All side glass is in, door handles and locks, trunk lock, trunk rubber and door rubber. I really really need the headliner to get here, and the heads to come back from the machine shop so I can make some big progress.
I have an extra painted and ready if you need one. Unless you can get it out to paint it...without snapping a piece of it off...
I had to draw the line somewhere. I could’ve added another $10k to the build if I let myself dig any deeper. I initially wanted to leave the AC box on the firewall to keep costs down, but I’m glad I pulled it. It was really nasty in there.
Just ran across this thread...Nice job Adam! When you put the evaporator core back on the car, please take a picture of where you place the Harrison label on the case. For some reason, my convertible doesn’t have one. Also, if you need to use my car as a reference, feel free to contact me.
I thought I had responded to your inquiry, Bob...but I guess it never posted. The Harrison decal is on the side of the box...you can see it in the last photo I posted of the open engine compartment. Today, I finished up the brakes and bled the system. Also sanded and started buffing the front sheet metal. I got the first round of buffing done and called it quits for the day.
I did a little bit of farting around on the orange car today, since some items finally showed up from USPS Saturday. Psckage tray is installed. It has to be trimmed to fit on the back edge. See photo of the scribe line where I had to cut. also got the new VIN sticker put on the door.
We have heads! but no timing cover. Its MIA in the mail somewhere with all the other missing USPS packages I’m waiting for.
