Beware, this is how they bend their fuel lines. And they cop an attitude if you ask for your money back. They think that a kinked up fuel line in the engine bay of a show Buick GS is good enough. I could hammer and chisel one out myself if this is what I had wanted.
Wow.....that is looooovely. That would have been thrown in the trash at our family business. Looks like they walked a wrench down part of it to “make the bends”. Would be ashamed to sell that
Yes they don't like hearing complaints and have not made things right for me in the past. But they make some things no one else has.
Exactly what I thought. " box end wrench bend" . Ok for side of the road repair, definitely not concourse correct....lol...JIM
I would venture to say that there are more complaints about Inline Tube, per part sold, than TPP. Just look at other car sites like Classic Olds where they have threads like, "Inline Tube Strikes Again". That being said, the tube in question should be replaced free asap because this thread will do far more dollars damage to TPP's future sales than the cost of replacing one tube.
From personal exp based on the 4-5 orders I've gotten from them I've had no complaints. I have that exact part in stainless on my Riv from them and the bends are perfect for a stock manifold and carb set up. I however have a B4B so that made it a bit short in one way and a bit long in another. Had to modify it further when I added the RobbMc fuel pump.
Amen. I've had more issues with the parts and customer service from Inline Tube than any other vendor. The Parts Place should realize that with the power of the Internet, bad news travels far and wide rather quickly. There's no valid excuse for poor customer service when it's obvious that the part quality is substandard.
It all goes back to the owner of TPP. Bought some stuff from his own hoard off ebay. Never states if there is damage or flaws. Would need FBI equipment to enhance his photos.
Personally I have had absolutely NO good dealings with TPP...When they started selling 70 GS grilles I ordered one.It was so flimsy, all black and the center stud holes weren't even drilled or provided. That was a hot mess till it was done and over with. When I called them to explain the issues, they quickly placed blame on me. They were going to make me pay to ship it back to them.I did manage to get them to pay return shipping, but paid a pretty big restocking fee. Then a couple years ago,I bought a woodgrain floor shifter handle off Ebay..None of the screw holes were right and it was so stiff putting on the shifter. I ended up again, selling it for a loss, but I explained to the guy the issue. He took a dremel to it and worked it over, but it still wasn't right.I was lucky to find a nice OEM handle and have NO issues. As for Inline, I have myself bought the same tube from them and look excellent and hooked up like it was supposed to. It actually looked better and made my grungy motor look even worse. There sure as hell no kinks in it like that one..I don't even consider TPP at all..If they are going to make a reproduction part for cars,at least make them correct. I'd pay extra for good, quality pieces than the cheap, badly reproduced Chinesium knock off parts TPP sells
I have bought some good things from them in the past with good results. But you only have to screw the customer once, and all the good goes out the window. I sent them pictures, they said there was not a quality issue, that they make them all that way. They said I had to pay return shipping and a restock fee. I said I shouldnt have to pay for their poor quality. They then locked their heels. So, a quick call to my credit card company to dispute the charges. Got my money back and still have their crappy fuel line.
That particular line looks like someone bought the wrong one and box end wrenched it to fit. It didn't so they returned it.
