Thank you to all, your support does take some of the pain away. Thank you from Steven's family. Jenn will be home this morning from a work trip to AZ. This afternoon we meet with the Marines that came to the house to arrange Steven's final trip home to us. We also will be doing all the things needed to get his personal things home. Wow this is hard...... A happier time in California with his family our friends Ken Betts and Jack Beckman.
John, I read this post over and over and cannot believe what my eyes have read. My heart is so sad for you and your family having to go through this terrible turmoil. Please know Deb, the boys, and I are thinking of your family and praying for your family. It is good to know of your belief in the Lord, which will help you through these trying times. Much love from my family to yours.
As tragic as this event is, I am thrilled to know that your son has Christ as his personal Lord and Savior! He is resting safely in the arms of Jesus now! No more suffering no more pain. Blessings and prayers from us to you all.
John, I've never met you and your family but I could feel the pain in your hearts reading your post. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
I cannot imagine what you and your family must be going through. You have my sincerest condolences and my thoughts and prayers are with you.
Thanks again to all of you for your thoughts support and especially your prayers and friendship. Marines will be here at the house in about 15 minutes to help us get Steven home. The Major will be working with us to schedule and provide all of the services. I'll try to update this thread later with a schedule for those that asked me outside of this thread.
Heartfelt condolences to you and your family during this sad and tough time. Sending prayers for the healing to help you through.
I am so saddened to hear of this. So sorry for your loss. Prayers to you and your family. May he rest in peace.
So sorry to hear this John..... you and your family have my heart felt condolences! This is extremely sad. I was going to call you in a few days to discuss your dry sump situation, but of course I won't now. Please call me when you're ready..... no matter how long it takes. May you and your family find peace with this situation, even though it may seem impossible at the moment. Please take care...…….
Today we had a warm up to writing Steven's Obituary, today we did the death announcement for 2 local weekly papers. One literally is nextdoor to our house. We did that with the funeral home 4 buildings down Main street from the house. That was real hard. What was difficult was going through pictures and memories for the slide show that will play at his service. We meet with our Pastor tomorrow to discuss our wishes for the service. We will be asking that part of the service be the message of Salvation, as that is our biggest comfort for Steven and ourselves at this trying time. For those that watch NHRA drag racing finals at Pomona, watch the pro drivers. Starting with Jack Beckman as he will be sporting our Son's name on all 4 sides of his funnycar. Others will be also, along with a new project decal we have started in Steven's honor. Look for more info on that in a future thread. Thanks for the support everyone, it means a great deal to our family.
