Proof positive that we figured out the 9.5" converter for the big cars.. right there.. That thing looks fun! JW
Yep, Jimmy... you nailed it on this one. Made the car much more fun to drive, this is just a fun street car and probably will see a track day once every 5 years or so...
Jim's, built me plenty of Motors. My favorite story is when I spanked a Track Hawk (707 hp jeep Grand Cherokee) with my 494 Stock appearing GSX 4 gear a couple weeks back.. Full Iron motor built by Jim running stock manifolds, q jet. Jim Also built a 470 Stage 1 alum head motor for my Dads 68 GS, that car is scary fast. The motor in this video of Electra is one of the 482 short blocks Gary Payne has been putting together and marketing on the board here, I also bought his old Stage ll heads with Jessel rocker set up that were on Thumper. Gary put it all together for me. Focused more on Torque that HP numbers in order to push a big heavy car. This car is a kick in the pants!
Yes it has a MSD 6AL with limiter, you can hear that in video. The exhaust is TA shorty (however I had to beat them into submission to fit around steering box). 3" mandrel bend going thru x-pipe and out thru Ultra flows. I also have electric exhaust dumps just for fun.
Hey Jim is this the converter you were telling about when you were getting ready to build my 9.5" for my 69 Riv?
No, this is a 9.5" unit... I can build one for the 200R4, but it's about $500 more than that D5 unit.. we can talk if you want to upgrade. JW
