Had a surprise package show up in my mailbox Monday from OHC Joe down in California. I knew he was sending something to me, but I didn't know what for sure. Upon opening it, I was overwhelmed at everything inside. Joe gets to go to my favorite Hot Rod shop Mooneyes on occasion, and sent me a package from there with a T-shirt, stickers, bag, license plate, plate bracket (which fits the F100 perfectly), and chrome emblem....Completely took me off guard and blew me away......Thank you, Joe, from the bottom of my heart. I appreciate you being a true friend even if we've never met in person.
Couldn't agree with you more, Brian. I'm a member of quite a few different forums and boards because of the variety of cars I've got, and this is the only one I'm on every day and for hours at a time. The guys on here are the best, by far, and it's the only place I'd call some of the other members friends. It's so much better here it's not even close.
Yes it does....he's got a bada$$ '68 Firebird with a modified factory OHC 6 in it. I've got pics of it, but I'll let him post some.
Here are some pictures.. Hey Lucas your welcome bud. When you come out to California one day we will take a cruise out to MOONEYES and I mean a cruise remember LA traffic no speeding
Im groovin' on that rear end cover in Lucite. Where the heck did you ever find one of those? Do ya trust it (road debris, rocks, etc)? maybe a clear engine oil pan next? Or valve covers? ws
Yep, I've gotten a surprise from Joe before! And I've had the pleasure of meeting him and his beautiful family as well! Good dude! Only downside so far is he wouldn't let me deliver his GS from Seattle to Cali? Might have been me mentioning a credit card for new tires, rear ones only of course?! Oh well!
Hahahaha when I got my GS it was delivered for free part of the deal. I was ready to hand ya the card and keys. Your a good dude to Harold. Thanks
I've had that cover since 2007 never any issues and I know when she is low on hear oil. It's really thick.
Used to run lexan clutch and stator covers back in my Yamaha V-max days. Pretty cool pieces, never had an issue.
That Fire Bird is a beauty and the O H Cam "6" really sets it off, it's nice to see something nice and different! Bob H.
Thanks Bob . Was mom's car she drove herself to hospital to have me in this car. First car I ever drove the rest is history. Best part is the 5 speed and flying on the freeway banging gears.. Pretty fast for a six.
I alway though the OHC joe stood for oh hell crazy Joe lol But kidding aside he’s a great guy I attcually got the bird out for the first time today since Linda driove it home Winter and work and life has kept it in hibernation thou it’s not a Ohc 6
One fine looking machine, Roy. '68s are my favorite of the first gen Camaros and Firebirds. The lines are just so clean compared to the '69s.
Well, had another package show up yesterday....Joe is a pretty damn talented guy. What's really cool is the date on the plate and the fact that I did get my car from California, so it all matches up Got to do a little rearranging this weekend, but for now it's a place of honor right next to my real one in my game room. Many thanks again, buddy. Super freakin' cool!
Oh heck yeah, Joe comes through again! Really unexpectedly this time. Thanks again brother, I really appreciate it. Little brother Layne is going to appreciate it, too
Yes sir no problem shoot I think I told u about that gtx plate around Thanksgiving so I'm a bit slow on shipping
