I quit going to the "local" shows for this reason. They don't know squat about our cars or appreciate them. So I don't bother.
Same reason I quit doing car shows, I agree with you Mike. I like James' idea, Polyglas make a huge difference.
I don't do car shows, I do cruise-ins. I can get there when I want to, park where I want to and leave when I want to...
My car came with code "BX" on the air cleaner decal and Dave (copperheadgs1) pointed out the correct code is "BC". Thanks also to Jason for offering a safe removal method. Task completed.

I had the chance to buy a burnished saddle 455 Skylark, almost like yours last year, and didn't take it.. Been kicking myself eversince.. Beautiful car..
So it turns out this car was originally owned by a 19 year old female. I was able to contact her and she said her father bought it in his name because the bank would not approve the loan for her. And in her words, "the dealer wouldn't order me a Chevelle so I bought something equally inappropriate". I got a laugh out of that.
