Why would someone not be ok with that?? If someone wants to wish me a happy Ramadan, so be it. I'd say thanks!
My care factor is zero, even if they told me to go rub $hit in my hair, so a blessed Ramadan to me means nothing to me so why would I be offended? Common sense usually works, I would not say Merry Christmas to a Jewish guy I really don't think most people are trying to get one over on anyone. The world is not as evil as you may think. What can you say now if someone sneezes? "Bless you" could be offensive Time to get rid of Christmas cookies, Easter baskets, Christmas trees, etc. Make everything non-denominational and non gender specific. Where does it stop?"
True, the other religions are much more peaceful and tolerant. So many non Christian countries are doing great for human rights Be careful what you wish for.
Imagine if it wasn't the religion of peace? We'd really be screwed I always thought it was all the atheists that were against saying Merry Christmas?
Really? More wars and deaths have been caused by the Christian/Catholic religion over the centuries than any other cause. Generally atheists don't have much to say - but gawd forbid if Starbucks doesn't have Christmas on the cups or some christian symbol, then the world is coming to an end
Keith at what point do you stop trying to start an argument with everyone not with the same views as yourself. You seem to be the 3rd leg in many threads. Always trying to insert your view on people having a conversation. Many threads you have good info, others regarding anything that is not car related you make it political, religious, sexist or discriminatory. No offense you just need to stand back and let people talk. If you are offended by what the conversation is don't read it. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays
If you don’t like what I have to say, and you don’t like reading my post, feel free to block me, because frankly I don’t give a damn what you think. God for bid somebody give a differing opinion, isn’t that what a conversation is? Just because you don’t happen to agree with what I say or my opinions doesn’t give you the right to tell me not to include my opinions in a conversation. Obviously you know how to read, maybe go back over the thread and see that I wasn’t the one that started it into the dangerous territory. If I was standing face-to-face with you right now I would tell you to F/O
I want to apologise to the OP for the s*** show my meant-to-be tongue in cheek post has caused. I forgot about the dynamic of some around here.
Keith your last line is comical. That and you don't see when a person says positive about you only negative. Definitely a pattern. Have a good evening and Holiday Season....
You make a post using a derogatory slang term for a group of people that have differing opinions than yours, but yet You forgot about the dynamic of some people here, classic, just classic
I think Keith could of defended his position without having to resort to telling another member to go FO. Once you do that, you've lost the argument IMO
Whenever someone tells me they are not Christan and do not believe in God, I like to ask them what day is it? And do they know what happened over 2,018 years ago and why the world is counting the days. Merry Christmas to all, Marv.
In my phone and on our calendar every Holiday is displayed. I celebrate those that pertain to my beliefs and do not impose on those who celebrate different Holidays. Those people may greet me with the phrase that is used to share their Holiday and I chose not to be offended as they don't know if I share in their celebration or are just being inclusive. Either way, I say Thank You. My family and most friends, celebrate CHRISTmas. It is on the calendar every December 25th and I offer Merry Christmas to celebrate the birth of Christ. I have never had anyone say they were offended.
