Meet Gonzo, rescue lab #5. 8 months old, 85 lbs, taught him to jump off a dock in 2 tries, smart but extremely goofy. Will look for pics of Lucy, rescue lab #6, just found her last month as had to take her home cause Gonzo needed a playmate. Never a dull moment around here any more... Wet dog...
Here is Filly (going on 5) from this past Whippet Nationals in Camden SC. She was the number 1 Female and the Best Opposite in the NOTRA (300 yd Uval) she finished 12 out of 98 dogs. The first 11 dogs were all BIG males This Traveler, (black whippet, 3 years old )he finished 26 out of 98 on the WRA (200 yard straight). He was going to place real high in the Top15 on the Uval on Sunday but stumbled and fell way back to 61. Only the top three placements get points. Last shot of the dogs in hotel
Jimmer - 16 lb Ginger and white Manx. Notionally belongs to she-who-must-be-obeyed but let's face it - cat's have no masters.
Rescue #3 Adger should be named Badger as he was all teeth when we got him. After about 4 months he has calmed down a bunch and is about 80% to where he should be. Hell of a guard dog though My new traveling companion. Loves to ride in the truck
This Chloe my first Jack. I got her to go jack racing (she did the 40 yard dash averaged 4.15-4.2s.. her best was 4.09s. she is only 11") and ended doing agility where she ended on thr AKC excellent level before AKC added the Masters level. When she got her groove in agility her yards per seconds we're high in which she was either on par or quicker than the bigger dogs by 1-8 seconds! She and my other Jack, Scout(14), he us actually a rescue had the same performance life but he also did flyball. I got him from the Russell Rescue from original owner at age of 3. He was raw and untrained but I got it out of him. He competed and was equal or faster than the national dogs at his height, 16". He moved like a BC on the course. They both ent hunting with GPS collar and my shovel. They did their own hunts as well. From coon, skunk, possum, rabbit, moles, rats, mice...yes two cats. Being that I compete in dog sports at a national level.. I have a lot in my arsenal..
This is Buddy our 6 year old Dachshund/Shi-Tzu. The next pic is Dollie. We rescued her about 6 years ago after she was dropped off at a local farm. She was starving, injured and had frostbite. She is my wife's shadow now.
