Holley doesn't recommend a Double Pumper on a car with automatic transmission but so far I haven't had any problems with it. Why are thery recommending against it? o No:
Good question, perhaps they're afraid people aren't knowledgable enough to tune the accelerator pumps to avoid bog on full throttle. Once I put a double pumper on, I never looked back. Devon
Larry sure got that right!!! I had one on an old 68 Polara I had and never even thought about a different one. Loved it.
I guess that's why their rule for calculating the size of the carb isn't working either. I have a750 cfm DP on my car which according to Holleys rule of thumb for carb size is pretty much the right one but as I understand from other threads I can put on a 1000 cfm without "overdoing" it. Thanks for the feedback guys.
