In search of a new fabric headliner but a lot are saying they are plastic. Is there anywhere online i can pick up a fabric headliner?
I have a related, but slightly off topic question... Since I removed my old headliner and jute padding yesterday in preparation for some roof repair welding, It seems to me that jute must have been installed before the roof skin? When installing replacement padding, how is it possible to get it in (between the skin and the structure)?
It really isn't in some spots. You can use some of the 3M 2-part expanding foam...it is used in the hood framework and I like to use it in the trunk lids too, to minimize vibration. And also to keep the metal from oil canning when block sanding.
Is there a site for acme? lol. Sorry idk if this is serious or not as i haven’t heard of a real company called acme.
When I looked on Rock auto for a headliner for my '68, the brand is Acme. http://www.acmeautoheadlining.com/
It’s a 1973 Buick Apollo hatchback with seatbelt holders up top. If you find me one for that price I’m all for it lol.
Amazing what time does. I bought my headliner from OPG about 10 years ago. It was like $60 or something. That was WITH extra sail panel material and sail panel boards.
