I have the classic GS455 gear console. I'm not so good at this, but what's needed to replace the gear change lever with the console? This is the console I want to use instead of the gear lever on the steering wheel:
Just to be clear, you currently have a column shift automatic with bucket seats and want to convert to a floor shift console?
If so, you'll need the console & shifter (reproduced), console brackets (reproduced), shifter cable, trunion for the transmission, & floor shift steering column (minor diff. bet. '70 vs. '71-2 but I don't recall what it is). I'm probably missing something here.
Assuming you have the console, floor shift steering column & shifter aren't cheap. Other stuff isn't too expensive.
The entire console is not reproduced, but the shifter is. One just sold on Todd's site, https://www.stage1restoration.com/product/floor-shift-console/ https://www.stage1restoration.com/product/shifter-assembly-complete-1970/ https://www.stage1restoration.com/product/shifter-assembly-complete-1971-72/
