I'm looking for useful set of 3.23 or 3.42 ring/pinion and POSI unit for 68-70 Buick BOP 8.25 unit, since the bast majority of these vehicles with this particular rear unit came with an open gear carrier, perhaps there's someone with an special aftermarket POSI unit for this type of rear end, offered previously by TA or FabCraft, it would be very helpful for my current project (1970 Skylark with plans to make, as far as possible, a GS350 4speed tribute) since the BOP 8.25 offered several advantages in comparison with the Chevy units, I would like to preserve this rear unit and getting better for a strong takeoff at low RPM, and also it's really complicated here (Peru - South America) find a 68-72 8.5 Malibu rear end, or even the 12 bolts unit, I just found a Chevy 8.2 from a 65' Biscayne, way too different from the 70' GM A body unit. If is possible to pay for the products through PayPal would be great, I also have an address of a friend of mine from FL for the arriving of the products. I know the rarity of this particular parts on these days, but perhaps there's someone who decided to swap the 8.25 unit for a 12 bolts rear end and still keeping the original gear/carrier set. Best regards, Cesar
Thank you Brian, perhaps there's someone who still keep the 3.23 or 3.42 from their original 68-70 Buick BOP 8.25. If someone appears I will let you know immediately.
I’ve got a set of 3.32 gears from an 8.2. Aftermarket gears. In a complete rearend but open not posi.
Hello, Thank you for your response. This particular rear end came out from a 68-70 Skylark? Would you be able to sell just the ring and pinion? Apart from the entire rear end? Could I send you a message? Thanks again. Cesar
It is an 8.2 but not 100% sure if it’s buick. Had it for along time. Maybe someone could chime in on how to verify
If someone currently have the mentioned set of ring/pinion in good shape (68-70 8.2 Buick rear end 3.23/3.42 ratio) and have the possibility to sell it separately from the rear unit please let me know. Regards, Cesar
