I have had these for many years and do not have any history on them other than "they found me" and I picked them up. They are very nice and hopefully the pictures show it, I won't sugar coat them past that. I can deliver them to the Nationals, otherwise you pay the actual shipping They are listed on other sites as well $10,000.00
Saw these on another page and was hoping the asking price was a typo but guess not. Very cool set of heads
So much want but the pool needs redone, the fence is old and needs to be replaced, the siding needs repair, and the driveway could use a resurface. Oh and the wife wants the laundry room moved into the house from the garage. I’m still tempted. God I hope someone buys these soon. Cliff
No ! These are over the counter72 heads, not sure about the prototypes with the vertical boss. GLWTS great looking set of stage twos worth every penny.
Should these Not have the oiling holes? Is there some descrepency? It appears that both these examples have the same casting numbers and are identical.
Interesting: none of my Stg2 heads have that hole. Even my super early vertical boss prototypes. I’ll check again
Well worth the money though. They look like a nice set without the porosity casting that so many have.
Nope, just checked, and my vertical boss heads do not have that oil hole for the rockers. That being said, can’t say for 100% that my production set does or doesn’t as they are still installed on the Reynolds car. But 99% sure they don’t as well.
I would guess Buick incorporated the oil hole so they would also work with the early engines. As we all know that oil passage is dormant when the early heads are used on the later motors..
Correct. At this point it’s a non-issue… Also, sorry to interrupt the sale… but that’s an unbeatable good price for sure!
You are Very fair on your price . There was a post how many sets are out there and I think it was less then 20 responses out of 78 original sets . At this point , its not all about price of the heads , its also about a piece of BUICK GS HISTORY !!! MY 2cents and yes I own a piece of GS history ! Bill
Fellas, Let's please focus on Buicks and not muddy up Jeff's for sale thread with any more back and forth jabs. Thank you.
