anyone have pics of 255 15s or 255 17s or 18a on b body. im sure they would fit seems to be plenty of room. just curious how it looks.
The tire needs to be 28-29" tall, or it will not look good. P255/70R-15 should work. 17 and 18" tires will have shorter sidewalls making the tire shorter.
yeah it needs to a be a 29 in tire. has 235/75 r 15 as of now. i really want a 17 but again i cant get the wheels i want with them unless i run adapters. so im considering running vison rallys with the police car center cap. not sure how good it will look. thats what im considering now.
To maintain a 29" tire height with 17" wheels, the tire would need to be a lot wider than 255, even with a 50 aspect ratio. Around 305 width. P255/70R-15 is the best choice. https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tire...z5cd7tiY-wCRQ76bOwA-dq8-K0FR19T4YDpOY7azy9-Eo
I am running 255/60-15 on the rear of my 64 'cat. Looks good and gears down the 3.08 rear to feel more like a 3.35 gear. I think it looks good but I am biased. Fronts are 235/60-15. Wheels are stock 6.5x15
That looks good. The P255/60R-15 is 27" tall, about 1 1/2-2" shorter than the stock tire. As you mentioned, it does affect gearing and speedometer. The front 235's are 26". The OP has a later model B body I believe. Might not look as good with shorter tires.
a 255/60 17 is the same size as the stock 235/75 15. pretty common size just seeing how it looks in 15 vs 17 really.
yeah its a pretty common size mostly a truck suv tire but if its a highway tread it shouldnt make a differences really. im just not sure how the police caps will look on my car.
