What did you do to your Buick today?

Don't like the fact that you couldn't find your priming tool, but at least you accomplished something in cleaning the garage. Though now you may not be able to find anything. :D

    Did you look inside Butterface?

I looked for days one time and couldn't find mine. Months later I went to grab my timing light and the primer tool was in that box...Doh!

Still quarantining. Went out and cleaned up all the Buick's valve cover hardware, to get ready to paint with the valve covers.

Got a good chunk of interior in the car. Drove it about 75-80 miles. Definitely not a fuel efficient car. Runs 3000 rpm at 65-67 mph. Drive line is a little out of balance above that anyway.

It’s the original engine from that car that I rebuilt and stored 10 years ago and I decided to make a Stage 1 display motor out of it.

9785936C-B00C-4C6F-B959-74DD780D2577.jpeg The car is back on all fours as of today. I had it up and down the laneway a few times. All that’s left to do is get it aligned and install the hubcaps. Then on to the new inner fender flaps.

I replaced the blown drivers side speaker in the Skylark today. It only took ordering 3 different sets of speakers until I found a true 6 inch set. They are all advertised as 6 inch, but are actually 6.5 inches. Pain in the butt. I cut holes in the door panels and butchered the steel behind the panels about 30 years ago. 6x9's on the rear deck and a 12 inch sub in the trunk along with an old 5 channel JL amp. Gotta have music.

Yesterday drove the Cat to a small fundraiser in the next town up US90. Car ran perfect and rode like a dream To my surprise there was 5-6 other Buicks out of the 25 cars attending. Most belonged to just one guy who I didnt really know but had friends in common one of which was RL. There was no judging. just a few door prizes.

36 miles logged on a full tank. Sure, let's fill up and check mpg.

I got Rosie to locate my missing A-arm and I also chipped the passenger door with a floor Jack handle, working on daughters car (never any time for my stuff).

This week I replaced the oil pump spring (yellow 60 psi. to orange 40 psi.). Also wrapped up the valve cover repaint, new 400-4 decals, and gaskets. Turned out really nice.
