Not Mine, this is a lead. Nice looking survivor. If mileage is true, it's a neat find. https://carlisleauctions.com/view-consignment-detail.aspx?ConsignmentID=12943
Wow, that does look like a cream puff! I like it and would love to see it in person. I especially like the color combination. This statement about the tires made me chuckle because the Eagle ST radial tires that were added for safety were discontinued over 15 years ago so they are now likely unsafe at highway speeds too.
Makes me wish my Seamist car had the Sandalwood base interior instead of black. I considered a color change, especially considering Cole had a great deal on new door panels, but I just can't do it.
I'm totally familiar with this car and the owner. We were talking to him a week ago at his garage, because I heard his shop was for sale, he's in my car club, and has a ton of cars. I've been trying to get that car from him for years. The short story is he bought the car for his wife to drive to our cruises. She drove it for a while and then passed from cancer maybe 15 years ago. A year or 2 after that I tried to get it from him, and would ask him a few times a year. This guy has a LOT of show cars, he couldn't really bring himself to drive it after that, he said it was for sale, but he didn't really want to sell it. Last time I asked him a year or 2 ago, he wanted 35K plus for it. It was for sale in my area last year for about that, or a bit more. Anywho...now he's looking to move everything he has and downsizing. It's a very nice car, it's been stored inside for the 20 years he's had it, and he's a mechanic. It is the real deal...but the price, not so much.
Amazing to think that at the time he was likely asking that for it, there were GS350's in nice shape being offered here at this site struggling to get 10-15K.
It was seen a car show or swap meet recently for $30-someK. It a real nice car and optioned perfectly(nothing),but it just not worth that much. I’m sure a bunch of us would be all over that if it was reasonable.
I would be suprised if he let it go for that. He was very emotionally attached to that car. On the other hand, he was making some serious life changes. It still seems high, but it was a really nice car! Hopefully somebody here got it. Not much room for flipping it.
