A 63-65 Riviera is on my "list" to own someday. If that someday was now; I would be going to look at this one. Looks and sounds like an honest car, which is hard to find these days. I would be changing the wheels and tires for sure. https://seattle.craigslist.org/oly/cto/d/littlerock-1964-buick-riviera/7263628056.html
no, not mine, I haven't ever seen it before. I had emailed the owner for pics so I shared them here. He has also added them to his CL ad.
That's probably a good price for it if it's as presented. Lot of hacked up 1st Gen Rivieras out there for sale. Seems like you get a pile for under 10k or you step up and get a nice one for 25k. An actual nice car with good options like this one has for under 25k is always a good deal. I see a few minor things that shouldn't be big deals like the rear bumper is crooked, and if you're a purist it's missing stuff in the engine compartment like the vacuum cannister....The color combo will probably keep this one from selling for asking price, though.
The asking price in the Craigslist ad is a good price I believe the owner is over on the AACA forums, his board name is something with Bulldog? He also owns a 1963 Riviera in the same color. Boaard member "telriv" (Tom) knows him.
My favourite thing with the sixties luxury vehicle designs is how they seem almost futuristic and sleek yet look dated.
I don't recall seeing any "bulldog" board names from WA state. I did find a member named Ray that has a 63 and Bulldog name, but he isn't from WA and the owner of the CL car is Dennis.
I wrote: "I believe...". Not that I know for sure that he's over at the AACA forums. And I never mentioned that his name is Ray or Dennis...
I'm sorry, BUT I don't think I know this car or the person who owns it. Yes, the bumper looks out of place but I think could be an easy fix. '64's didn't have a vacuum canister like '63's did. The check valve is on the r/hand fenderwell mounted correctly. Tom T.
