We're told he died from COVID-related complications, after being transferred from his prison cell to a hospital. We're told he was diagnosed 4 weeks ago and went to the hospital but recovered well enough to return to prison, where he is serving a 19-to-life sentence for the murder of Lana Clarkson.
He was certainly an eccentric musical genius. Later in life he carried the look of a person suffering from a profound mental illness. “Ronettes lead singer Veronica "Ronnie" Bennett, who became Spector's second wife and divorced him in 1974, wrote in her 1990 autobiography that he subjected her to years of horrific abuse. She said he had threatened to kill her and display her body in a glass-topped coffin he kept in her basement.”
I had a room mate in Chambana that won $200.00 cash in a trivia contest years ago. The question asked , who were / are two other actors that appeared in Easy Rider. Phil Spector was the pusher in a Rolls Royce at the end of the runway scene while the other was Toni Basil (had a big hit Mickey) in the 80's. She was a hooker in the New Orleans scenes. Who was that guy. What is the wall of sound.? I was thinking Chuck Yeager but he passed through the wall of sound.

Don’t forget Hal Blaine. Played drums on more hits than anyone in history. Including Beach Boys, Grass Roots and countless others.
