I did rust work on my right inner fender and they are in epoxy primer right now. Before I paint them I have one question. Are those two holes factory and is the "dent" supposed to be there? I had a lot of crap in my engine room so I am not sure. Also the hole in the lower left looks fishy as well
If the car had aftermarket A/C they may have mounted hoses/dryer on the Inner fender. My car has this. These wholes and the dent could have been caused by this? Was anything there when you disassembled?
thanks for the answers...holes held wiring loom for the 6AL ignition wich wont be reused. Yes fitment in general is horrible haha. can you look at the other holes as well? the one alone seems to be correct as Ive seen it on other fenders. the two below are weird as well. this is the left one...horrible...I know some of them must be for wiring harness to the lights and washer tube...but wich ones? Car has factory AC but no Cruise Control or stuff or does someonehave pictures of unrestored or correct 71 inner fenders?
How do you guys mount them back onthe car? together with the fenders or first and then fenders? figured I weld all holes shut except the 3 larger ones
Install the fenders with the inners attached. Best to have a helper to help guide it in and watch for stuff rubbing and scratching.
