I don't know, I do not do e-bay. I think he has them all on auctions. You cannot do that here. He is also selling more then Buick parts, as you will soon see. Duane
Hmmmmmm.......... verrrrrrry interesting. https://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-1968-1...510109?hash=item595e9e1e5d:g:dlgAAOSwrOlfyANn
Looks like Mark put out a few "Motion/Supercar" parts out last night. An NOS Motion Phase III ignition system and a Vintage NOS 12v Mallory coil, both new in the boxes, plus a used Fly Eye air cleaner assembly. Pretty hard parts to find in today's world. and a 70 Stage 1 Distributor. Duane
This link I posted earlier shows all items listed, and should automatically include any new items he lists. https://www.ebay.com/sch/cmreeves82...118AAOSwuqNfvU44&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562
All this talk about steering wheels is making me I am looking for a Burnished Saddle 16" wheel for my 70 GS Stage 1 that's not sticky... I just don't know about buying a standard repo 16" black one and painting is with SEM paint. I just don't know what that would feel like, I would think paint/dye would come off my hands. @Duane what do you think/do? Any recommendations? Also, I still need to get with you and go over the sticker/decals for the car. Thanks, Nick
Pat, He told me last night that all these parts came out of 1 room. He has not even begun to look at the upstairs, which is where the majority of his parts are. Now I don't know how many NOS parts are up there, but he has a ton of stuff. Nick, Call me any night and we can put together a set of decals. I just had to make up a whole bunch of them as I was running out of certain ones. I have a bunch of kits I will be sending out within a week. As far as painting wheels, Painting any of the 15" or 16" original sport wheels is only going to last so long. The problem is the oils will continue to come out of the plastic, and that will impact how well the paint sticks to the wheel. Now I don't know if there are repro's of the 16 " sport wheels, but the new wheels will probably give you a much better paint adhesion. Also, don't even look for a non-sticky original wheel. You will never find one, and if you do, it will get sticky later. Also, there is no way to paint a GSX wheel because they are made of an entirely different material. Of course I did make 2 hard plastic ones to check the molds. One was Black and the other was Gray, those could be painted. Hope this answered all the questions. Duane
I have been wondering the value of a used and worn 4spd console. I wish I had seen these where for sale. I would really like to find one.
Those consoles are really great, but there are also alot of small pieces that complete it. The boot, upper and lower retaining ring are pretty scarce and spendy.
Yeh you didn’t miss much Ryan, as many of these as I have had over the years,I know what to look for and I wouldn’t have touched those. Cheaper to buy a nice one already restored in the long run just like a rust bucket missing lots of tough parts car compared to something someone poured their heart and soul into or at least an original that was well stored (these weren’t that). No offense to seller, they are just very susceptible to the elements over 50 years (pot metal & belt line chrome at soggy carpet level) previous owners pulling them loose without tools wrecking the bases and as Pat also said pricy parts like rings and forget chroming those blistered strips in the top middle to the right of the shifter hole. A lot to consider
John your right but I just want a top and lower plate and if they are rough I am OK with it. I have something I would like to do. Makes me wonder why they didn't go higher. They may not be 100% correct but they repop the upper and lower ring.
I help him ID parts he has in “the room” and the other “room” so I stopped by yesterday with some info on some parts and did a lot of “I haven’t seen one of those in years” and “where did you get that” and “ are you kidding me you have how many’ ! so get ready….
Not my auctions, but I probably would start with some lower $ amounts if he really wants to sell this stuff. That's all high retail pricing. It would certainly give some of us poor people a feeling that we might be able to get some nice parts for more of a bargain
Me for different reasons. Something about buying back my own parts that were never paid for in the 1st place that just doesn't sit right although it's still tempting. We'll see.
Dano, I can sorta relate. I almost lost my back half car from a guy that was supposed to be doing the work right for me. It was a wake up call when a Sheriff's office called me to come pick my belongings up from an outside impound Got most of it back except a few expensive items. Now,I will have to spend the $1200 plus for a center section and a buy a replacement seat.. I am happy to have gotten what I have back, but it pisses me off yet.
I was hesitant to even air that much dirty laundry in public. In all honesty, it wasn't Mark that didn't pay me (was a board member that you surely know) but he still screwed me over in the deal. Happy to tell you about it but not in a public forum.
