496 cubic inches (4.361 bore, 4.147” stroke=495.5) Races on 93 octane pump gas with no additives! I am selling this engine complete from carb, to pan, to headers. I got it together in time to take it to the Buick Bash at the Quake this year. Selling as pictured. If you are not interested in something included, we can take it off of the price. The only items i want to keep are the accessories. Water pump, alternator, alternator brackets, crank pulley, and coil. This engine has been the best of 6.510 @ 103.57 mph (1/8 mile) w/1.377 sixty foot! It is in my 72 GS w/ATI eight inch converter, TH350, and 4.10 gear. (3680 lbs) I started with 30 degrees of timing. As I made more runs, I would give it one degree of timing at a time. The run listed above is at 33 degrees. 74 455 block Lifter valley steel plates installed with Devcon and breather tubes TA 1106 halo girdle w/ARP main studs Block machined and rotating assembly internal balanced by Bill Trovato (BTR Performance) in Rochester, NY. Works well Includes build sheet 11.16 to 1 compression ratio I also planned on running a dominator carb on the engine but never had the chance. It is an 1150cfm Holley Classic Dominator. We can also work a deal on that if interested. The engine is still in the car and will be until mid-November when I plan on pulling it out. I am located near Buffalo NY if you want to see it in or out of the car. I am asking $11,000 carb to pan to headers. Put it in your car and go! Thanks. Ronnie
Ron, not in line, good luck with your sale looks to be a great deal just have a couple questions how far down in a hole are the pistons and what's the thickness of the head gasket your running ? Thank Frank.
I have Bill Trovato at BTR build all of my Oldsmobile engines, and he is beyond top notch. He does other builds like this too.
No Cayuga for me. Although I am close I have never been there. Bill does great work! Erie ain't too far away. Yes, the cam is a 70 455STG1 stock eliminator camshaft that I bought new from a good friend of mine. I will try to post a video of the car running.
Probably Lancaster Dragway on Gunnville Rd. I won my first trophy there, when I was in college, with my '61 Impala convertible.
Probably a little to radical for my street application, but I'll jump in line since I'm on the hunt for an engine. PM coming at you Ron.
This is a very impressive mill,..lots of potential and very strong as is,.. sounds so mean the dom and a 700 lift roller would be a real kick in the nuts on this thing for sure
