Got my Buick out this evening for a Cruise with my 19 year old daughter riding with me, stopped by a local parking garage and took some Pictures. Drove the car around for about an hour and a half. Enjoyed ever second of it!
Nice looking car pat. I know the feeling, When I have a crappy night at work, I get a smile on my face just knowing when its all over I get to drive my skylark home !! Never fails to put a smile on my face !
This is the feeling I get every day when I drive my Wildcat. I have convinced the wife that we should save the truck for towing our trailer, the car can be out daily driver. It runs like a dream and has, for a 425 Nailhead, decent mileage. It gets around 22 MPG on the highway and around 14 MPG (Canadian, the US gallon is .8 of an imperial gallon). I can live with this kind of mileage, and I constantly get comments and the odd offer to purchase. Not For Sale I tell everyone. Ray said it is my car and I can sell it if I want. I told him that I loved it from the time I saw it, so, no sale, no trade with anyone. I am not done fixing her up yet anyways.
Hearing you. The bride & I took the 'lark to meet friends at country pub. Fine day, the 'lark looking, sounding and driving good. Had a Ferrari coming the other way (two lane blacktop). I swear the driver spent as much time checking the lark out as I did his Ferrari. Put a smile on my face good and proper. When it stops making me smile on a regular basis, it's time to sell it.
Went out this evening with my wife on the Buick for about 2 hours, felt good! Next Saturday we will be getting the Buick back out to go to a in door cruise-in. I will post some pictures afterwards...
Pat, You took your car for a cruise last night, and I took your old tires for a cruise last night! We had a group of 42 cars last night. Many Buick's, a lot of former Buick owners, along with the usual assortment of new racecars. We all cruised about 15 miles to a parking lot in front of a pizza place. I got a lot of compliments on the super sleeper Skylark with the cool full hubcap wheels. Thank you very much Sir! No pictures included for fear of law enforcement tracking us down for all the burnouts and racing that took place! A truly fun night!!!!! Tell your lovely family I said HEY!!! John
Awesome John! So glad everything worked out for both of us. My family said hey as well! Take care buddy!!!
