Hello again Everyone, has anyone put a 255/60R15 Cooper Cobra G/T on a 15x7 Buick Rallye rim? I was just wondering how much they bulge on the sides and does the whole width of the tire make contact with the ground? I'm planning on running the quarter mile once the car is finished.
I have 255-60-15 BFG's on wheel vintiques 15x7 steelies on the rear of the green car. I dont have a picture handy that illustrates what you're looking for, I'll snap one for you in a bit when I can run out to the pole barn. ETA: If you zoom in, you can kinda see here I guess, but I'll get ya something better.
I have had that very tire size on 15 X 7 Buick Rallye wheels, on the front of my car, for almost as long as I have owned the car. There are no concerns at all. Top picture is BF Goodrich Radial TA's, bottom is Cooper Cobras, both P255/60R-15.
Here's some fresh shots of the rear of the green car. Air pressures a touch low at 26psi though (I checked so you'd have a fair reference).
Thank you sriley and Larry. I actually like the way the tire bulges from the 7 inch wheels. I think I'll go ahead and buy the 255/60R15's for the rear of my car. Amazon seems to have better prices than Summit.
Just received your close up picture of the tire. I'm differently going with that size! Thanks again for your help.
You're welcome, glad I could help. I'm very happy with my 255 rear 235 front setup on the green car. When I finally melt off these lackluster BFGs, I'll be putting Cooper's on in the same 255 rear 235 front configuration.
