Any you fellas running a hard blocked deal at .060 over? How many blocks did you go thru to find one suitable?
I would think with a proper fill you could thin the walls out more. Can't see 4.375 being an issue with filler. That's only .0125 each side more than most standard performance buick slugs
Do an upside down fill with epoxy, seal deck, fill with sand so there is about a 1 1/2"(or however much you'd like up there) path for water at top. Also route lubed hoses where you want water to flow to be pulled out afterwards. You can either fill bottom with grout or epoxy after the top dries or just fill to the water pump outlet while upside down and call her done, or you can do a side fill for the bottom on the thrust sides, dealers choice. Make sure to route a small hose from the top to the bottom drain hole for easy draining. I'm sure you can figure out the rest of the details. GL
What I do when using some kind of filler, usually, Epoxy. I take a piece of Styrofoam cut at a 60* angle at the bottom then stuff it between the cyl. wall to cover the drain. Fill as desired. When filler is hard use some carb. cleaner & it will de-solve the Styrofoam. Use your imagination on size. Tom T.

I dont see why not, our 464 is just over 12:1 on te2 heads, I think I'm just outside of pump gas, but we are running 100 octane low lead avgas. No girdle no fill, 3800ish pound car and driver race weight, going upper 10.50s with a 60ft that's not right yet, so I dont see how you dont get upper 10s
I'm hoping for some really low 1.30's,.the last 625hp setup was good for 1.44s,..so hopefully another 125hp can cut a tenth off the short time
Buy Tom R race short block , all the work is done . Just use a thicker cometic gasket . That engine went 1.27 3400 car 4.375 bore. Soild flat tappet cam too
