I call them "big car rallyes". Some people call them "road wheels". The caps are (I think) 71 and up Riviera caps. The earlier ones are referred to as ribbed caps. They're tall
Are they 15x7? Whats the backspacing? Where can I find this info, cause I'm dense and can't decipher it from the Rally wheel chart
Im not an expert in the big car wheels. There's only so much information my brain can hold. The best thing would be to get the wheel code that's stamped in the inside lip and then you'll know for sure. I think some of them came 15x6. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable chimes in. btw....No vinyl top on a Riv is rare
Oh thank you. That's good to know too. Guess it keeps getting rarer. Ordered with 3.42 posi, buckets, power windows, ac, i guess am/fm isnt special either, power antenna, and no vinyl top. Also, no evidence of chrome around the wheel wells.
Buick Road wheels are 5 x 5 inch lug spacing. They fit 1/2" studs. Buick Rallye wheels are 4 3/4" lug spacing and use 7/16" studs.
And according to the acaa forum they were mostly 15x6. Guess it’s time to figure out how to grind the aluminum drum fins away, right? Cause I have a set of 15x8 American racing rims and tires that are close to fitting, so close
I’ve also been reading about members who have fitted large (255-275) tires on their stock road wheels without any issue at all. This is fine for me, since I do exactly 0 heavy cornering in the land yacht. It’s just making me think that it would be nice to stay stock (look stock with the rims)
Well yes of course Larry, I just didn’t find a match and naturally only think about my wheels when I’m away from home. I’ll check them in a week
And here are the big car wheel center caps. Mitch Romanowski (Mitchr) reproduces them. The 67 gets the dark ribbed ones.
