I completely agree. But apparently the seller is looking to cash in versus doing what I think most on here would naturally do, which is pass along the documentation to the current owner of the car.
total BS ,smell a clone/fraud, some one could build this X as real ,thats Y HE expects 2G,,,someone get VIN and document for future use !!!!!!!!
looks like u can make out VIN with a close up shot, ebay zoom in or maybe hi resolution ,document! document! document!,,,do not want to see someone screwed!!!!!!
I don't think it is as big a deal as it would be for a '71 since you can authenticate the '70 car with GS Historic paperwork. It would be cool to have (and should stay with the car) but I would not pay big bucks for it.
And I had the numbers matching motor, most of it's internal components as well as numbers matching transmission for a 71 GSX and GAVE them to the current owner..Isn't that what you are supposed to do?? I kept those critical pieces for over 25 years hoping to give them to the owner wherever it could end up. After that,I not only got the motor, transmission back with the car,but also made a new, good friend!
I'll be damned...it matches the VIN. Huge props to Ken who tracked me down. Having the sales docs to back up the build docs would be great, but not at that price. George
He says in auction that "I tried to find the current owner, but no luck" I would contact him and see where it goes.
Its worth nothing to anyone other than the current car owner. And definitely not worth anywhere close to what he wanted I would hope as a car guy if he is he would do whats right and send to you to reunite with the car I would if was me
Don't seem too eager and let him smell blood in the water though. Hopefully he is a good guy and does the right thing.
