Came with a ‘69 GS400 motor. Number above secondary shaft where ID numbers usually are: 29242 LG 0159. I thought this number was the definitive ID, but wth? Number in little circle on back of carb: 7037399 That first number makes no sense. Is this some type of replacement carb?
You have an original installed carburetor from the factory on a 69 GS 400 non stage 1 7029242 LG 0159 built January 15, 1969 Rochester did not stamp a 70 on the early built carburetors hope this can helps.
The number in a circle is the individual part number for the fuel bowl casting. The air horn and baseplate should each have a similar mark, different numbers.
