No -- the Buick Sportwagon wheel cylinder is TOTALLY different -- and in fact, you will see Station Wagon owners frequently asking / begging to find their wheel cylinder, due to availability..... Leave well enough alone -- or go to the 7/8" wheel cylinder -- for increased pressure.... Of course --- VERY BEST is --- NEW OLD STOCK ++ ASBESTOS ++ Brake Shoes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I have N.O.S. ++ Asbestos ++ Brake Shoes!!!!!!!!)
I believe he is talking about an Estate Wagon (full size) and not a Sport Wagon. I still would NOT use the larger wheel cylinders as they would not be balanced with your current rear drums. The full size wagons used 12" rear drums vs 11" drums for the full size passenger cars.
:gp: Agreed; this is one case where more is not better. Leave yours well enough alone, it's as good as it gets without major modifications.
The brakes on these cars will throw you through the windshield if set up correctly. No need to upgrade anything on them.
