That spounds confusing. The handle has to finger holes below the T handle. You pull those up and shift straight ahead 1st pull straight back 2nd straight forward 3rd straight back is 4th there is a red handle along side thats the reverse lever so you cannot accidentally hit Reverse. The shifter is gated so that when you pull up its lined up with 1sy then as you shift to second it drops slightly and into second then as you shift up to 3rd it drops again and then into 4th. I cannot say it will fit but heck its need a big a $$ hole in the floor and you got one. I would start searching for one?
got the wanted ad's runnin just wish i had the right part numbers for Buick applicationo No: hopin if it is someone from here it will be buick by default:grin:
Found more hacking lol Didn't realize the inner fender was modified also but does give nice access to the Z-bar! Stock position is mounted to the top of the frame correct? Does this look acceptable as far as function under heavy handed shifting?:3gears:
Looks like your car might of had an old school set of Hooker headers (#1201) that had the one pipe wrap outside the frame rail. I would definitely replace what looks like an allen key with a cotter pin. Also, where is your return spring connected to?
I use to have a set of those ole Hookers "loaned" them to a guy 20 YEARS ago(some loan lol!) Okay, thanks I will swap that out and also check where that return spring is hooked. Appreciate it man
I heard he moved to Salt Lake City and married them. I don't like loaning stuff out because its bad for the person's memory you loan the stuff to.
I looked the dude up last night on an internet search and it said he was arrested for some pretty sketchy stuff :spank: Hopefully was the wrong guy or he can keep my headers lol
okaaaaaaay,I have been POR-15ing stuff today,STARTED tearing out headliner(helloooooooo wasps nest!:eek2 getting cramped up trying to pull dash pad and decided to try something easier such as just "drop n plop" the 69 Oldsmobile manual transmission hump in. No modifications as of yet but pretty dag gum close for $49. Will need modification where it tails out and all but again this was a few keyboard clicks, rip open a box and a horse shoe ringer on the shifter:TU: Pleasantly surprised, get one all of you who long for a man pedal!:3gears:
this should get you over the hump http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.p...e-on-two-episodes-July-18-25&highlight=carfix
